Frequently asked questions

What is your refund policy?

Due to the nature of digital products we do not offer refunds once a kit has been purchased.

What is a .zip file and how do I open it?

A .zip file is compressed file or series of files. It enables us to reduce the file size and store all of the images in a kit in one downloadable file. To open a .zip file: On a Mac

  1. Find your file, most likely in your Download folder.
  2. Double-click the icon.
  3. The file will 'unzip' creating your kit folder.
On a PC
  1. Find your file.
  2. Press and hold (or right-click) the folder.
  3. Select Extract All, and then follow the instructions.

Can I resell or redistribute any of the images?

The short answer is: no. You can read more about this in our License Agreement. Each image is owned and copyrighted by Books Covered Ltd.

What is a .png file?

A .png file is a type of image file which can have a transparent background. They are often used for websites, but we thought they would be perfect for 'ease of use' with our pre-cut out figures and objects.

Are the images vector/.eps?

Unfortunately not.

We took the decision to make our images as simple to use as possible and make all images with a transparent background .png rather than .eps or .ai.
This is because many clients may choose not to use Adobe Illustrator or to design in an app such as Canva.

Can I use the images in Affinity Photo/Photoshop/Canva, etc?

Absolutely. In fact, that was the initial concept behind CoverKit: images that are easy to use across as many platforms as possible. Affinity Photo and Photoshop are straightforward and if you've used either you will know what you're doing. Canva can be a little less simple – especially when it comes to layering images – BUT we have tested each file several times (including beta testers) and the images work very well.
